Week 5 - Graphic novel: story of my childhood

In this workshop, I learnt how to build characters by image-making. I learned how to make general shapes into characters . What I need to build on is my line of action and gesture drawing, and incorporate that into my graphic novel.


I think this was a fruitful workshop where I was able to develop good facial expressions, because I knew they didn't need to be perfect. They could be kooky and quirky, because it adds to the charm of the image.


This suits my style more than, say, life drawing, because a more imperfect and quirky style of art is required.
